The Monmouth Museum is governed by a dedicated Board of Trustees, composed of community leaders and professionals who are passionate about arts, education, and our community. They operate on a volunteer basis, reflecting their dedication and commitment to the organization. Their collective efforts and generous contributions of time, talent, and resources are invaluable to the success of the Museum.

Robert angel, chair​​
Bob serves as the Executive Director of The Arc of Monmouth, Inc., a leading nonprofit organization in Monmouth County dedicated to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His compassionate leadership and strategic vision have been instrumental in advancing The Arc’s mission and developing innovative programs that empower individuals and their families. With a career spanning more than two decades in the United States, complemented by extensive international experience across the U.K., Europe, and the Middle East, Bob brings a unique blend of global business insight, healthcare expertise, and commitment to community service. These qualities make him a valuable advocate for both the museum and the individuals he serves. Before becoming Executive Director of The Arc of Monmouth, Bob served on its Board of Directors and also held a board position with The Hospice of Napa Valley.

Larry buccheri, Vice Chair​​
Larry Buccheri is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Partner of Mid Atlantic Resource Group, LLC (margFINANCIAL). Since joining the company in 1980, Larry has built a respected career in insurance and investment services. A graduate of Glassboro State College (now Rowan University), Larry spent more than 25 years cultivating his own practice before transitioning into executive leadership. Today, he oversees the firm’s corporate development and guides multiple divisions with a steady focus on innovation, service, and long-term client success. Deeply committed to his community, Larry resides in Little Silver, NJ, and actively supports local initiatives and nonprofit organizations He is especially passionate about causes that uplift individuals with special needs, bringing the same energy and dedication to his community involvement as he does to his professional life. Larry is an active member of several industry associations, including FINSECA, NAIFA, the Society of Financial Service Professionals, and the Million Dollar Round Table. He is also a member of Premier Resource Group, where he was honored with the Betsy Woolfolk Courage Award.

Barbara Boas, Board Secretary​​​
Barbara Boas is a lifelong resident of Red Bank and a retired educator with over 40 years of teaching experience in the Red Bank and Middletown school systems. She holds a B.S. in Education from Glassboro State College (now Rowan University) and an M.A. in Education with Reading Specialist certification from Georgian Court University. Over the course of her career, she held key leadership positions in professional development, including Chair of the Monmouth County Professional Development Commission, Chair of the Monmouth County Teacher Mentoring Plan Review Committee, and member of the NJ State Professional Development Board for Abbott districts. Barbara is deeply engaged in community service throughout Red Bank and Monmouth County. She is a founding member of the Red Bank Mayor’s Charity Ball Foundation, Vice President of the Red Bank Borough Education Foundation, Vice Chair of the Red Bank Planning Board, and a member of the Historic Preservation Commission. In addition to her civic leadership, she volunteers with the Red Bank Public Library, Jazz Arts Project, Inc.

Monica S. Camin​
Monica S. Camin is an Argentine-born fine artist based in New Jersey and Texas. She offers progressive views and diverse perspectives to the Museum Board—not only as an artist but as the daughter of immigrants. She believes cultural education is important to bring our communities closer to one another, and wants minority voices to feel both seen and heard. Her multidisciplinary work in painting, sculpture, and textile art has been exhibited nationally and internationally, reflecting themes of ancestry, displacement, and cultural memory. Monica’s cross-cultural experiences and artistic vision bring a unique and valuable voice to the Museum’s leadership. In 2023, Monica received the Artistic Leadership Award at the Monmouth Museum Masquerade Ball, a celebration of our 60th anniversary. She continues to be an advocate for immigrant voices in contemporary art and remains active in fostering dialogue around memory, identity, and community through her creative work.

Benjamin Fleischner
Ben is a retired attorney and longtime supporter of the Monmouth Museum, where he has served on the Board since 2012, including four years as Chairman from 2019 to 2023. With a 40-year career as a partner at White Fleischner and Fino, he specialized in property and fine arts insurance, bringing valuable expertise to the Museum’s leadership. Ben continues to provide pro bono legal counsel on small matters and is a trusted advisor for the organization. He is also a dedicated advocate for The Arc and other nonprofit causes, having served on the CARES Advisory Board at Rowan University in Stratford, NJ from 2002 to 2010. A resident of Holmdel, NJ, Ben has been married to his wife for nearly 50 years, and is the proud father of four and grandfather of six.

Jeremy Grunin
Jeremy Grunin is President of the Grunin Foundation, a relational grantmaker dedicated to supporting organizations that share a vision of an equitable, just, and vibrant Central Jersey Shore through funding, capacity building, and coalition work. He is also a Partner at Grunin Holdings, LLC, a NJ-based investment firm specializing in third-party commercial ventures. Jeremy previously spent over 15 years in the private sector, leading teams of more than 1,000 employees and overseeing over $500 million in revenue. He currently serves as Board Chair of the Count Basie Center for the Arts and holds leadership roles with numerous organizations, including the Monmouth County Vocational Board of Education, NJ Center for Nonprofits, YMCA of Greater Monmouth County, Community Medical Center, Council of NJ Grantmakers, Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County, Gathering Ground, and Monmouth University. He is also a member of the NJ State Council on the Arts, Co-Chair of the NJ Arts and Culture Renewal Fund Steering Committee, serves on the Advisory Board for the Grunin Center for Law and Social Entrepreneurship at NYU School of Law, and was appointed to the Ocean County Tourism and Business Development Advisory Council.

Matthew Miranda
Dr. Matthew Miranda is an educator, researcher, and arts advocate with a decade of experience supporting student success and teacher development. Currently serving as an art teacher in the Rumson School District, he began his career at CPC Behavioral Healthcare, where he taught art and worked closely with students facing emotional and behavioral challenges. He holds two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Monmouth University, where he was honored with the 2024 Academic Excellence in Educational Leadership Doctoral Award. His award-winning research focuses on building teacher resilience and improving teacher retention through intentional mentorship and support structures—areas that continue to guide his professional mission. With a strong interest in program design and educational innovation, Dr. Miranda is preparing two research studies aimed at transforming teacher preparation and mentoring models. Outside of his research and teaching, he remains actively engaged in advancing inclusive, forward-thinking education strategies that shape the next generation of educators with compassion, insight, and purpose.

Christian Peter​
Christian Peter is the President of The Competitive Advantage Companies, where he leads with a vision for delivering customized insurance solutions that support long-term business success. He holds extensive industry experience and has built a reputation for strategic insight and a deep commitment to client service. Throughout his career, Christian has focused on helping businesses across a range of industries navigate complex risk environments with clarity and confidence. In his role, Christian oversees the development of tailored insurance programs designed to meet the unique needs of each client. Under his leadership, The Competitive Advantage Companies has grown into a trusted partner for businesses seeking not just protection, but proactive guidance and competitive positioning. Christian remains actively engaged in promoting best practices in risk management and insurance innovation. He regularly collaborates with industry leaders, contributes to professional development initiatives, and mentors emerging talent within the field. His approach is grounded in a belief that well-informed businesses are best positioned to thrive. In addition to his professional work, Christian supports various community initiatives and champions efforts to improve business resiliency, entrepreneurship, and education around insurance literacy.

Sangita Phadke​
Sangita Phadke is an internationally recognized pastel artist based in Colts Neck, NJ, whose award-winning work has been exhibited in leading museums, galleries, and collections around the world. Her paintings have been featured by the United States Embassy, the Butler Institute of American Art, the San Diego Art Institute, and the National Arts Center in Taipei, Taiwan, among others. In 2009, Southwest Art Magazine named her one of the top 21 artists worldwide under the age of 31. A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a degree in finance, Sangita is a self-taught artist who transitioned early in her career to pursue her passion for visual storytelling, quickly rising to prominence as one of the youngest artists ever to receive the designation of Master Pastel Painter. Her work has been widely published in Fine Art Connoisseur, The Artist’s Magazine, International Artist Magazine, Les Maîtres du Pastel (France), and American Art Collector. Known for her striking still lifes and figurative compositions, she creates bold contrasts between light and shadow, using subtle details to draw the viewer in. Her signature style infuses even the quietest subjects with emotion and narrative, exploring the shared humanity between objects and figures. Her most recent solo exhibition, The Understory, was held in the Main Gallery of the Monmouth Museum in Summer 2025.

Domenic ranieri​
Domenic Ranieri is the owner of Preferred Property Management Group, LLC, a New Jersey-based firm specializing in the management of commercial and residential real estate properties across the United States. With a strong background in operations, logistics, and customer service, he brings over 15 years of leadership experience in high-end hospitality to his work in real estate, ensuring an elevated and efficient standard of property care. Before entering the real estate sector, Domenic held internships at the Federal Aviation Administration’s Flight Standards District Office in New York and NASA’s Habitability Design Center at Johnson Space Center in Houston, where he engaged in early research and design concepts related to human-centered aerospace environments. He holds single- and multi-engine private pilot licenses from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and is rated for instrument and commercial flight, having logged over 1,000 hours as pilot in command. In addition to his professional work, Domenic serves in local fire and first aid departments as a firefighter, EMT, and certified ocean rescue diver, reflecting his deep commitment to service and community engagement. In 2023, he received the Visionary Award at the Monmouth Museum Masquerade Ball, a celebration of our 60th anniversary. ​

Louis A. Rodriguez​
Louis A. Rodriguez is a registered Professional Engineer and civic leader with decades of experience in engineering, finance, and community service. As a global consultant, he has provided technical expertise to electrical utilities on major infrastructure projects funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the World Bank, and other international institutions. In addition to his engineering career, Louis is a qualified Financial Advisor. He served as Executive Director of the Latino Chamber of Commerce of Monmouth County from 2005 to 2013 and continues to serve on boards, including Monmouth Medical Center, the Boy Scouts of America Monmouth Council, the Axelrod Performing Arts Center, and The Parker Family Health Center. He is the author of Born to Travel the World and co-authored The Electric Distribution Power Systems Manual for McGraw-Hill. He has been recognized with awards from the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Brookdale Community College, and a Special Congressional Recognition from Hon. Frank Pallone. Louis holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from the City College of New York, proudly served in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division, and was honored as Marlboro’s Grand Marshal in 2020.

Bernadette rogoff​​
Bernadette Rogoff has served as Director of Collections at the Monmouth County Historical Association since 1992. She has researched, designed, and produced more than 45 exhibitions, covering topics from the American Revolution to 20th-century industry. A recognized authority on 18th- and 19th-century textiles, historic clothing, and the artist Micah Williams, she has secured grants from organizations including the New Jersey Historic Trust, New Jersey Historical Commission, and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Bernadette lectures widely at institutions such as Colonial Williamsburg, the American Museum of Folk Art, and Princeton University Art Museum, and is a hands-on historian who demonstrates traditional skills like spinning, weaving, and hearth cooking.

Bryant Small is an award-winning artist, curator, and the Co-Founder and Artist in Residence of Kaleidoscope.Art (KAAI Inc.), a pioneering platform that empowers artists to create, protect, and monetize their work using generative AI. With a vibrant career at the intersection of technology, visual arts, and curatorial innovation, Bryant is known for his bold vision and commitment to inclusive, thought-provoking exhibitions. As a curator, Bryant brings a unique perspective that merges contemporary storytelling with visual experimentation, curating exhibitions that span mediums, styles, and narratives. His projects are celebrated for creating space for underrepresented voices and sparking meaningful dialogue across diverse audiences. Bryant’s work has been showcased in galleries and museums nationwide and has earned him recognition from collectors, institutions, and fellow creatives. Recent projects at the Monmouth Museum include curator of both Danielle Scott's Ancestral Call and Kaleidoscope: A Celebration of Abstract Art. Additionally, he is serving as curator and juror for the Museum's upcoming exhibit accompanying The Bias Inside Us, a Smithsonian traveling exhibition. His dynamic leadership and creative vision continue to influence and elevate the contemporary art landscape.
