Get ready for an unforgettable week of discovery at Monmouth Museum's Dino Summer Camp! Designed especially for curious young explorers, this one-of-a-kind camp combines science, creativity, movement, and hands-on learning as children become Junior Paleontologists for the week.
Campers will investigate real fossils, examine crystals and minerals, discover dinosaur eggs and nests, explore the fascinating world of feathered dinosaurs, and learn about New Jersey's state dinosaur, Hadrosaurus foulkii. Along the way, they'll create dinosaur-inspired art, participate in exciting science experiments, build a life-sized dinosaur nest, complete fossil excavations, and enjoy games and activities that bring prehistoric life to life.
Throughout the week, campers will interact with real fossils and authentic museum specimens, learn from experienced museum educators and paleontology experts, and discover how scientists uncover clues about Earth's prehistoric past.
Each child will receive a Junior Paleontologist Field Journal to record observations, earn daily stickers and badges, and document their discoveries throughout the week.
Every day includes:
-
Hands-on science and STEAM activities
-
Museum exploration
-
Creative art projects
-
Movement and games
-
Storytime
-
Daily "WOW" moments
-
A new take-home discovery or keepsake
Parents can feel confident knowing that camp is an intentionally limited number of children, creating a safe, welcoming environment where every camper receives individualized attention from experienced Museum educators.
The week concludes with a Junior Paleontologist Graduation Ceremony, where campers receive a certificate, celebrate their accomplishments, and pose for a commemorative family photo.
