MUSEUM STATEMENT

Founded by the Monmouth County Arts Council in 1979, the Annual Juried Art Exhibition has been a cornerstone of the Monmouth Museum's programming since its inception. In 2011, the Museum took over complete sponsorship of this prestigious exhibition and broadened its reach to an international audience. Over the years, the exhibit has grown into a remarkable showcase of creative talent and contemporary art trends, featuring work from across Monmouth County, New Jersey, and the United States, as well as internationally, with submissions from countries such as Japan, Russia, Lithuania, Israel, and Germany.

This highly anticipated Main Gallery exhibition presents art in a wide variety of media and styles, blending traditional and innovative approaches. It celebrates the diversity of artistic expression while giving the community the opportunity to view exceptional artwork from around the globe. The Monmouth Museum is proud to call this Annual Juried Art Exhibition a "must-see destination" for artists and art enthusiasts alike.

As the Monmouth Museum continues to grow and innovate, we remain committed to building on the success of this exhibition, ensuring its reputation as an integral event in the art world for many years to come.
