At the Opening Reception of The Bias Inside Us, a Smithsonian exhibit, four artists were chosen to receive a monetary juror award. The exhibition emerged from a public call for art and was curated by acclaimed mixed-media artist Bryant Small, with installation led by Jenn Hampton of Parlor Gallery. Together, they’ve transformed the Main Gallery into a vibrant conversation on identity, inclusion, and the biases that shape our communities.
Congratulations to the Juror Award Winners:
Gwenn Seemel, The Original Cowboy
Jill Alexander, The Mind's Mirror
Kathleen Beausoleil, Inspired Hope
Linda Friedman Schmidt, Fault Line
Special recognition to our Honorable Mentions:

Maria Estrela, What Are You Doing With Us America?
Alexandra Alvarez, Sacred Yopo

The exhibit is open now through September 7th, and is a perfect opportunity to see world-class art alongside the voices and visions of our local creative community!
