The Monmouth Museum is proud to present Shared Spaces, a solo exhibition by New Jersey artist Nina Nemeth in our Nilson Gallery. This thoughtful collection invites visitors to consider the subtle connections between people and the places they inhabit, exploring how memory, presence, and everyday encounters shape our understanding of the world.
Nemeth’s work unfolds through layered mixed media collages where figures, landscapes, and urban environments emerge and overlap. These pieces create a visual dialogue that reflects on the shared spaces of human experience—both physical and emotional. Through the interplay of texture, form, and narrative, the artist encourages viewers to reflect on how personal histories are woven into the fabric of communal life.
About the Artist
Nina Nemeth holds a B.F.A. from Southampton College, L.I.U., and an M.F.A. from Pratt Institute in New York City. Her works have been exhibited in regional institutions such as the Morris Museum, Gallery 10 South, the Mayo Performing Arts Center’s Starlight Gallery, and other galleries and venues throughout the region.
Nemeth’s art resonates with collectors and critics alike, and her career reflects a sustained commitment to exploring color, texture, and human connection. Her pieces can be found in private collections across the United States and abroad.
